Caveat emptor, indeed. I used my credit card, to secure an account, or so I thought. I entered a coupon code, to receive 'free bids', or so I thought. In reality, my account was charged $149.75 (plus overdraft fees) for a bid-pack that was 'preselected' and hidden amongst a dearth of advertisements outside of the registration area, also there was no confirmation of said transaction.
In my opinion, any company that's on the level would not need to trick people into buying it's product or service. I contacted the company and the representative was quick to point out the 'fine print' where this charge was mentioned, he then offered me another 300 'free' bids and a "guaranteed win". How do they "guarantee" a win?! Sounds...fixed, to me.
I've asked the company for my money back, but they refused and offered a "free incentive", instead. I've filed a report with the Bureau.
