Bought a 2000 Dodge neon with 159000 miles on it for $3000.00 out the door yesterday afternoon. It was originally for $5000 with taxes and fees. Before we left the lot, my wife noticed the check engine lights on so she told me to tell the guy that sold us the car and he said come back tomorrow when the owner is here. I was trying to return it and the owner said he will charge me $1000 for processing fees. What is that for??highway robbery. The guy that sold us the car new that the check engine light is on but did not disclose it but said buy it "As is". To me that is very misleading. If I saw the check engine lights on - I wouldn't even make a deal with them. That is why it is so fast of them to say okay for $3000.00. My wife's brother said that he doesn't trust the car lot sales and he was right.
